There are 3 types of mesh fences

• Knotted Fences are manufactured by knotting horizontal and vertical wires to create a strong and robust mesh. A knotted fence will bend with stock pressure and land contours.
  We sell 3 types of Knot fencing – Hinged Joint, Stiff Stay and Netting (chicken or rabbit wire)
• Chain Meshes link vertical wires in a diamond pattern. They are sometimes called Cyclone or security fences. Chain mesh is generally used to keep people out, and are sometimes used for large dogs
• Welded fences are rigid and suited for garden, aviaries and small animals.

Hinged Joint – ideal for stock, boundary and internal fencing, it features a flexible knot that acts like a hinge, absorbing stock impact, and then will flex back to its original shape.
The mesh also features crimps in the horizontal wires, allowing the fence to expand and contract.

Stiff Stay Knot – also known as a square or x knot, links both vertical and horizontal wires tightly via a smooth knot with no sharp protruding wire ends. Like Hinged Joint, the Stiff Stay knot will stop the fence from sagging or bending. Stiff Stay has been shown to be a stronger knot that Hinged Joint under stressful conditions.
