Description
Mesh Heavy Netting 4cm/1.4mm Heavy Galv 1200mm high 50m
Heavy Netting, is a reverse twisted wire mesh usually having a larger wire diameter than standard mesh products.
- Apart from agricultural applications it also has a commercial use in the construction industry as a metal lath to hold cement or plaster, a process known as stuccoing. Concrete reinforced with chicken wire creates Ferro-cement, a versatile construction material. It can also be used to make the internal reinforcement for a Papier mache sculpture, when relatively high strength is needed.
- Whites Heavy Netting is an economical netting with a wire diameter of 1.4mm and a larger hexagon aperture of 40mm. It is heavy duty, making it ideal for use in rabbit proofing, boundary fencing and tree guards, and also to guard against vermin.
Note: It is recommended that new galvanised wire mesh used in aviaries and pet cages be treated to remove excess zinc that could possibly harm the pets. Shave off any zinc spikes with a utility knife. The mesh should then be scrubbed with a mild solution of vinegar (2 cups in a bucket of water), and rinsed with clean water.
