Description
Thunderbird B5 Pet Energizer has been designed to contain Dogs and other pets – keeping them away from your garden or special area.
The energiser uses AA batteries.
How Does The Thunderbird Pet Containment System Work ?
Electrons or current flow from the energiser through the fence from the positive terminal.
The current is sent along the fence in controlled, safe pulses.
The wires on the fence are not meant to be connected into a complete circuit, as the fence relies on the animal completing the circuit for the electrons to flow through the fence, through the animal then back to earth.
The circuit creates an unpleasant muscle contraction or shock much the same way that we feel a static electrical shock when touching a charged metallic object.
Your dog will quickly learn that the fence is a no go zone, although some training in the form of introducing your dog to the fence is recommended to get the best out of your fence.

The manufacturer recommends a minimum distance of 200mm between the live wire(s) and any other conductor, otherwise effective energiser distance is reduced.
